Thanks to Alan who helped me set up my gallery with you.
I hope you like the few shots posted, and am looking forward to your comments.
Next steps, join the competitions.
Rob.

Wildlife Under Pressure
Jan 27th
Members may be interested in a letter I have had published in the January 23 issue of Amateur photographer. Ken Rockwell has an excellent website devoted to photography. Here is a link to a posting describing ‘what makes a great photo’. It is worth reading carefully as it contains thoughtful and helpful advice.

Points of View Exhibition – British Library
Jan 9th
There is a free exhibition at The British Library – Euston Road, not far from Kings Cross/St Pancras – about the development of photography in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibition runs until 7th March and is worth a look – it will take you about an hour to see. The British Library is also worth seeing if you have not been before.

First competitions of 2010 and a reminder to club members
Jan 7th
Our first competitions of 2010 on the 19th and 26th of January are on the subject – ‘Creative Images.’
In anticipation of questions, the committee has discussed what this means. We do not want to give a definition and be prescriptive but would offer the following as guidelines only:
Take a view – Landscape Photographer of the Year 2009 – The National Theatre, Southbank
Dec 30th
I urge all our members to try and get to The National Theatre and see this exhibition, I cannot recommend it too highly. More >
