The Largest Social Photography Event in the World comes to Town

On Saturday 11th October 2014, the whole world will be walking again during Scott Kelby’s 7th Annual Worldwide Photowalk. The walk takes place in towns and cities around the world, photographers of all walks of life and skill levels gather together to socialize, share and inspire during this one-day, worldwide event.

Last year more than 900 towns and cities hosted walks with over 32,000 people participating.

It’s completely free to participate in the walk, but this year everyone is “Walking with a Purpose” by encouraging a donation of as little as $1 to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya when registering for the walk.

You can enter your favorite photo from your walk into the Worldwide Walks contest, with a chance to win amazing prizes.

The Welwyn Garden City walk is being hosted by members of the Welwyn Garden City Photographic Club, and the walk will take place between 10am and 12 on Saturday, 11th October 2014.

You can register to go on the walk by going Here and search for Welwyn Garden City.

Member Alison Knight has noticed there is a Walk organised by 500px

“I thought it might be of interest to club members but I didn’t really know the best way to distribute it. It is run by the 500px site and it their annual Photo Walk which they aim to hold in every major city in the world on the 6th September
