The Club is approaching its membership limit but we still have a few places available for this season – we will be very pleased to welcome new members.

With a variety of ages, interests and experience, we are all enthusiasts eager to exchange ideas, learn more about photography and how we can improve our skills. We are affiliated to the East Anglian Federation of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain who also run informative courses and events.

Our weekly programme includes illustrated Talks and Workshops on many different subjects such as portraiture, natural history and wildlife, travel, techniques on composition and exposure, also understanding Photoshop.

On Members Evenings we can informally show a selection of our work with the chance to interact and ask questions. We also have monthly and annual Competitions where our work is assessed by recognised judges and trophies are awarded. Work can be in colour and mono prints and digital projected images.

We also take part in Inter-Club Competitions, locally and nationally, which often bring out our best work.

We like to try and help each other – both by informal discussion and with our Mentoring Scheme where experienced members give one-to-one advice on specific subjects.

We hold two Annual Club Exhibitions -the Winter Exhibition for a month at Campus West and a Summer Weekend Exhibition at The Howard Centre, both in Welwyn Garden City and which attract much local interest. We also submit entries to the EAF Annual Exhibition, with some recent successes.

So if you would like to get more from your photography come and join us.

We meet every Tuesday from 8.00pm until 10.00pm at our new venue: Mill Green Golf Club, Gypsy Lane, Welwyn Garden City AL7 4TY from the beginning of September (Check our Diary for this years dates) until the end of May.

Annual subs are only £48 for 36 meetings, plus a charge for refreshments if you wish to have them. The Howard Centre Exhibition normally runs once a year in May outside the M&S ground floor entrance.

Please note: Access to the Mill Green Club is only via the Ascots Lane end of Gypsy Lane. (Some navigation systems are incorrect. For example, there is no access directly from the A414.)

Check out our website Diary and Contact Us if you need to know more. The Diary section gives the latest information on the Club’s Meeting Programme.

The Club is grateful to its Sponsors which include the National Lottery, Cereal Partners UK Ltd and RK Photographic.

We look forward to seeing you at the Club.
