Local Breakout Group Announce February 2017
Breakout Group Day 18th March 2017 – be there or be square!!!
The cold weather is ,I trust, now over – so I think we can get back on the road with our meetings.
We do tend to concentrate on street photography that I think is enjoyed by most – particularly as the journeys do not need to be far.
I am suggesting going back to the South Bank and concentrate on limited areas – i.e. work the subject.
The Southbank is good for it allows not only for street photography but also iconic cityscapes particularly at low tide at allows for different views than usual..

Sunset is 1804 – which the approximate time when the light will be at its best but obviously would make for a long day especially important for the Cityscapers – how’s your dedication !!!!! .
So there is scope for different types of photography.
That area is also close of e.g. Borough Market which will be open and gives more opportunity.
It will be necessary for those most interested in street photography to split into very small groups ,and hopefully not to appears as part of a group – as otherwise it does not work. Basically we need to get lost in the crowd.
I would suggest we meet at the sound floor cafe at the Tate at 1030 with a view to organise ourselves so we can “get on the road” as it were by no later than 11 am.
Nearest Station is Blackfriars which is a 5 minuter walk from the Tate. South side exits.
For the future I also want to arrange Landscape type days – Therfield (near Stevenage) is a good choice but also for coastal locations.
I would like to know how far people are prepared to travel on both days and how late people are prepared to start/finish for it is a crime not to time it for the best light.
Maybe September onward would be best for this as the days will be shorted.
Anyway please let me have your views and let me know if you wish to come on the 18th March.
